Venezuelan super star on tour: President Chavez hits London next week

SCHMOO WELCOMES PRESIDENT HUGO CHAVEZ

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez will be in London on 15-16 May on a private visit, which will include meetings with the Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) - but in a snub to the Labour Party, not Tony Blair - or even Gordon Brown.

schmoo, thinks President Chavez is great, except for his terrible taste in friends; Robert Mugabi, the President of North Korea and the President of Iran.

On Monday 15 May 7.00pm, President Chaves will be speaking at the Friends House, 173 Euston Road NW1, London, (opposite Euston Station).

It should be a great gig, except for the terrible back up bands. Other speakers include the Windscale Nuclear Power Station founder, Tony Benn (the 'Lord of the Left'), and the worse book writer in the world, Tariq Ali, trotskite authoritarian bourgeois extraordinaire.
