The old anarchist refrain "Who ever you vote for, the government gets in" was proved correct once again in the Singapore 'election'.
A load of old PAP: In an election in which pod casts and streaming video posts were banned by law, the ruling 'People's Action Party' (PAP), claimed a decisive 'victory' winning 82 of the 84 seats and getting a 'mark of the beast' mandate of 66.6%.
Meanwhile a leading opposition politician James Gomez, was arrested at Changi Airport on Sunday afternoon and prevented from leaving for Sweden. Police say they are investigating a complaint by the 'Election Department'. His passport has been confiscated while he is 'helping police with their inquiries'.
The Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said the election result would mean that multi national corporations like Exxon Mobil, Shell, and the big pharmaceutical companies would continue to invest in the country, known by some as the 'Prison State'.
