surveillance society: how to spot an informer

Above: They don't look like informers - which means they look like informers.

Above: Almost every political group in Britain is infiltrated by paid informers who report back after meetings. Usually these are weak people who have got in to trouble at some time in the past and were 'recruited'. They usually get paid something on top of their dole - it helps pay for their drugs.

Often they actually serve a useful purpose - letting the authorities know that absolutely nothing of any consequence is happening.

As they say on 'Crime Watch' - don't have nightmares.
